How to Make

  1. Firstly, make the Easter Bonnet Kit using the instructions in the pack.
  2. Then, stick brown pom poms on the top centre of the bonnet using super tacky glue.
  3. Tear sections of dark and light green tissue paper. Scrunch and stick the tissue paper to the bonnet. Then set aside to dry.
  4. Using the template cut out the sections of the chick from card and pastel printed paper.
  5. Roll and stick the cone. Cut a slit in the top point of the cone, this is where the comb will slot into.
  6. Then concertina the legs (the 2 red strips of card).
  7. Stick the card features and wiggle eyes onto the chick.
  8. Stick the chick to the centre of the bonnet.
  9. Then decorate around the chick using nests, fluffy chicks, and paper daisies.
  10. Allow the hat to dry before wearing.

Top Tip

Instead of using the template to create a cone you can use the string and pencil method. Tie a length of string to your pencil and draw an arc, holding the string on the bottom corner and the pencil on the opposite, top corner.
