How to Make
- Firstly, make the Easter Bonnet Kit using the instructions in the pack.
- Then, stick brown pom poms on the top centre of the bonnet using super tacky glue.
- Tear sections of dark and light green tissue paper. Scrunch and stick the tissue paper to the bonnet. Then set aside to dry.
- Using the template cut out the sections of the chick from card and pastel printed paper.
- Roll and stick the cone. Cut a slit in the top point of the cone, this is where the comb will slot into.
- Then concertina the legs (the 2 red strips of card).
- Stick the card features and wiggle eyes onto the chick.
- Stick the chick to the centre of the bonnet.
- Then decorate around the chick using nests, fluffy chicks, and paper daisies.
- Allow the hat to dry before wearing.
Top Tip
Instead of using the template to create a cone you can use the string and pencil method. Tie a length of string to your pencil and draw an arc, holding the string on the bottom corner and the pencil on the opposite, top corner.
