How to Make

  1. Print out the template and cut out the two space logos.
  2. Wash out and dry two plastic two litre soda bottles and remove their labels.
  3. Wrap a sheet of A4 mirror card around the centre of each bottle and stick down using hot glue or sticky tape.
  4. Cut four strips of red paper, about a ruler thickness, to stick around the top and bottom of each bottle.
  5. Take your cut out template and stick a logo onto the front of each bottle.
  6. Next take your empty tissue box and wrap it using paper in the colour of your choice, remember that only the front will show so don’t worry if the paper does not reach all the way around. Stick this in place.
  7. Now take a sheet of A4 cardboard and a reel of ribbon. Cut the ribbon into two one metre lengths and stick the centre of each ribbon strip onto the centre of the A4 card. This leaves the ends free to tie vertically once the jet pack is made.
  8. Stick your tissue box on top of the ribbon and stick a bottle either side, facing the bottle top downwards.
  9. Using the paper, card, two bottle tops and buttons, decorate the box to create your jet pack.

Top Tip

We used hot glue for this project for strength and ease, but it can be made with super tacky glue and sticky tape. Allow drying time in between steps if you choose this method.
