How to Make
- Print out the template and cut out the heads and feet.
- Trace around the template onto coloured card and cut out.
- Cut two strips of coloured card the width of a ruler and length of the A4 sheet. You can use two different colours of card here if you’d like.
- Lay down the two strips to create a right angle, one strip will be vertical and one horizontal. Glue the pieces together where they meet at the bottom.
- Fold each strip of paper alternately until you get to the end. When you get to the end, stick one side down to secure the spring and one left up so that you can stick on the head.
- Choose a head and draw around it with black pen and sketch a face.
- Choose coloured gems to decorate and once complete stick it to the spring you’ve just made.
- Then add the feet under the spring and you have your springy alien.
Top Tip
If you use a longer strip of card, you will create taller aliens. Why not try making a family of aliens?
